Duke was my last dog. I'm 71 and I told my wife after he went that I couldn't do it again — losing one is enough for a lifetime. He'd been with me since I retired from the post office. I'm not much for fancy things on the internet, but my daughter found this site and ordered one for me as a surprise. I'll admit it — I sat in my recliner and cried like I haven't cried in years. They got him. The way he tilted his head. The grey on his face. The slow walk. Sometimes I just play it on the TV in the evening. The house feels less empty.
